What is the Young Explorers Program, also called the YEP?
The YEP program aims to encourage young explorers to experience and venture the world to express their emotions, ideas, experiences, and participate in various projects in biodiversity, water, humanitarian and social community.
Young Explorers will be encouraged:
- To experience nature and discover its beauty
- To discover emotions, other cultures and the pleasures of sharing
- To create a respect for the planet and its resources
- To engage in global clean-up projects
- To create environmental projects with qualified specialists
- To pass on of an important communication message to their peers and others around them and to act as ambassador of our planet
What are the objectives of the YEP ?
- Explore: young adults can participate in their own exploration with Mike Horn
- Learn: with the help of local people and specialists in the field
- Act: by engaging in clean-up and environmental projects with the PANGAEA Boat

What is the contribution of Planet Action ?
Planet Action will support the YEP with imagery of each of these locations. The contributions will include satellite imagery, geospatial and geographic expertise, and support from Planet Action project teams around the globe.
Who can join YEP ?
Able, enthusiastic young explorers between the ages of 13 to 20, from all corners of the world.
